What is a fun character?
Okay, I have 5 characters, a w/mo, a r/mo, a minion master, a fire ele, and a toucher.I am on my last character slot and wondering what a good, fun, not too hard build is.I have Prophecies and Factions.Post your opinions below.Thanks.

LoL, Wammo.
All 4 are easily doable. That doesn't mean all 4 are effective though. 1 guess which one isn't. (Unless you're farming.) |

Or are a warrior smart enough to actually bring a proper resurrect rather than staring at the dead bodies like a gaping fish hoping they'll magically come back to life. Guess how many I've seen do that?

A fun character? Play something other than MM on your necro. A minion master is the most boring thing to play TBH.

Also, your post indicates you have 6 character slots. That would mean that you've either purchased additional slots, or have more than one campaign (but not all three). It would do no good for us to recommend a fun Paragon build when you don't have NF, or a fun Sin build when you don't have Factions. Recently I've been playing a paragon. I just rerolled it though, as someone pointed out the name could be offensive (not obviously offensive... it was a language thing). I figured better safe than sorry, as the character hadn't gotten that far yet. I'd detail the build, but it's an NF character that uses the PvE only skill from Factions... and wouldn't do you much good. |

As countesscorpula said, you didn't tell us which campaign(s) you have, though I'm guessing Prophesies. If that's the case, and you want to play something you hgaven't played before, that narrows you choice down to either mesmer or monk. I've completed Proph with both (and Factions with the mes); both these are harder to play well than the other profs, imo, but can be very satisfying.
If you have Factions, well, I played a 'sin and, to be honest, I didn't enjoy it all that much; my fault, I guess, as I never really got the hang of it and so wasn't as good at it as I was with my other chars and wasn't that interested in it to make more of an effort - I just wanted to finish the game with him as quickly as possible. On the other hand, when I finally got around to making a ritualist, I had an absolute blast playing her, so much so that I've actually made another one, a male this time (for the Kurzic armor). |

For ages after creating my Rit I did not play it,I did not like it at first but decided to keep it for a while, then after completing Factions with my Ele I decided to give it another go and had a blast! playing either offensively with spirits or using the healing skills I easily got through Factions and am now off ot NF with it!

I'd sugest a few things you can do. First thing is to make some changes to your existing chars, change there secondarys and play with some new builds. There is a huge amount of fun to be had just by testing new builds, even the obsurd ones can be lots of fun though less effective. I've had lots of fun playing a war/ele using all addren Axe skills and Glyph of Essence + Meteor Shower
If you are looking for a new char, then the Rit would be a good choice. It is very versitile, can be a pure dmg dealer/nuker, can be a pure healer, party buffer with weapon spells or a mix using spirits and other skills. A Rit can roll his skills to fit into just about any party and should move quickly through both of the campains you have. I would strongly advise you also buy Nightfall as the new skills there can breath new life into old classes. |

I've heard lots of people say that playing a rit is fun. There are a lot of different builds to try out, but if you don't have Factions, it's all moot.

To clarify a bit, I should have said "gotten around to playing a rit" because my experience was similar to Ghengis's - I made her when Factions came out, wasn't enjoying it much, so used her as a mule for well over a year. A couple months ago, kind of at loose ends, I decided to give her another go.
Got her to the mainland, hit lvl 20, took her to Elona to get the starting set of heroes, far enough to get Olias, too, then it was back to Cantha. Just over a month later, I had finished all 3 campaigns (and gotten Protector on all 3, to boot). One thing I will say, though, is that it wasn't until well after hitting lvl 20 that I started to "get" it and feel comfortable/confident playing her. Up until then, I was still bothered by a nagging feeling of "am I doing this right?" |

A ritualist. It can deal nice damage and it can do some healing. I think of it as a less stressful monk It is the character i like to play whenever im bored

Playing a Rit was definitely a nice change. When Factions first came out it didn't interest me all that much but about 3 months ago I was bored and decided to try it out and see how playing a Rit was, and I'd have to say it's pretty fun. I went through Factions then NF and a Rit seemed really helpful in the GoM so that was cool. I'll eventually get my Rit through Prophecies.
Try it out! |
